Pet International Health Certificates

To check if you will need a health certificate for your pet, first use the two buttons on the left to check your destination country’s travel requirements. If your destination requires one, you must have your pet’s health certified.

Before your pet can qualify for a health certificate, you must be able to answer “yes” to the following questions:

  1. Is your pet up to date/current on their rabies vaccine? Does it meet the requirements of the country you are traveling to?
  2. Does your pet have a microchip implanted?

You must have the exact travel destination address for the certificate, as well as your date of arrival and length of stay. Before booking an appointment to issue the health certificate, be sure that all of the requirements are within the travel timeframe.

We recommend you obtain your pet travel health certificates well in advance of your trip. Allow 10-12 business days for the International Health Certificate to reach the endorsement office, be endorsed, and then be sent back. Certain blood test requirements, such as for Rabies Vaccine Titer, can take up to 30 business days to obtain results. Some countries require multiple tests for specific parasites and other illnesses.

The cost of the certificate to one specific destination is currently $700. If you are taking a connecting flight from another country, you may need a separate certificate to satisfy their specific requirements. This second certificate would also cost $700, bringing the total cost to $1400.
